     The two glaciers are located in the far north-west of the Woodfjorden.<br>
      They do not flow directly into Woodfjorden, but are located in its mountainous hinterland   . They are part of a complex system of valley glaciers that stretch across the rugged Arctic landscape here. The mountain between the two glaciers is Homofjellet, 668 metres high.

Burgerbukta ist die nördlichste Bucht im inneren Teil des Hornsunds. Die Bucht ist nach Wilhelm Burger (1844–1920) benannt, einem österreichischen Hoffotografen und Mitglied der Expedition von Graf Wilczek nach Spitzbergen und Nowaja Semlja im Jahr 1872.
Burgerbukta is the northermost bay in the inner part of Hornsund. The bay is named after Wilhelm Burger, 1844-1920, Austrian court photographer, member of Count Wilczek's expedition to Spritsbergen and Novaya Zemlya 1872.
